KODY WESCOTT - NARRATIVE SHOWREEL
FEATURED WORK
CRUMB CATCHER – TRAILER
Crumb Catcher is a dark and twisted tale, with a color grade to match. The director, Chris Skotchdopole, and DP, Adam Carboni, wanted realistic levels of light to immerse the viewer in the film and add to the feeling of unease and fear. The grade doesn’t shy away from darkness, utilizing it to crank up the tension and keep the viewer on the edge of their seat.
ALTERNATINO - TRAILER
Alternatino was a very unique show that required multiple looks for each episode. I worked closely with the DP, Tyler Ribble, to tailor the grade to perfectly compliment each skit.
HALLMARK CHANNEL’S LOVE ON ICELAND - TRAILER
A story of rekindled love in an amazingly beautiful country, Love on Iceland required a very unique grade. The natural geography of Iceland lent itself to a cooler look that contrasted nicely with the warmth and vibrancy that comes with true love. The two compliment each other perfectly, conveying hope and joy in the icy landscape.
TRICK - TRAILER
A classic slasher film set during Halloween, Trick needed a grade to match the season. Deep contrast keeps the viewer on edge while rich colors compliment the spooky backdrop of the film.
UBERMENSCH - TEASER
A short film that takes place almost entirely in a cab, Ubermensch required a visually dark grade, but without the dark undertone. Director, Michael Micalizzi, wanted to convey a feeling of hope as a man finds compassion as he struggles with his inner demons. The look toes the line, keeping the grade immersive and real while emphasizing a feeling of optimism through rich, warm colors.
A GOOD COUPLE – TRAILER
Exploring the complexity of relationships through an eerie lens, The Good Couple needed a grade that added a supernatural feel to the film. Working closely with director, Robert Gregson, and DP, Adam Carboni, we rooted the film in reality with rich, authentic colors, and added subtle undertones of green to give a sense of unease and mystery.
